{fairy princess ella grace & lu-lu the kitten}

this fairy princess was caught in the act...picking fairy flowers for her mom. :)







and this is ella grace's new love, lu-lu. she could spend all day watching, chasing, petting this sweet little kitten. a big thanks goes out to our neighbors, Ms. Debbie and Mr. Reggie for "loaning" us your pet. you see, lu-lu isn't really ours...she just hangs out at our house after eating nice meals at her real home. that's my kind of pet! :)

{summer challenge} judging has begun!

just a quick update to let everyone know that we are in the process of determining a winner for the {summertime blues} challenge. We had several entries...you guys did a great job! we'll announce the winner soon, so stay tuned...!

{shortbread summer challenge}

whew!! it's been a while since we've posted. we haven't forgotten about our "shortbreaders", we've just been busy running kids to camp, vacation bible school, swim lessons, mermaid parties ...all of the fun things they like to do during the summer break! which brings us to the shortbread summer challenge...!

the theme for the challenge is {summertime blues}. interpret however you wish, be creative, and have fun with it.

the deadline for submitting an entry will be july 15th. email your submissions to: peddiegirl@yahoo.com. you must be a graduate of a shortbread symposium to participate. judging will begin on july 16th and the winner will be announced before august 1st. only one entry per graduate, please. the grand prize will be a black, leather accordion album which holds twelve (12) 5x7 pictures.

{shortbread symposium II}

our {shortbread symposium II} was another success! a big "thank you" to all of the new, and returning attendees, and our models. unfortunately, as i was trying to delete just a few old images from my camera, i managed to accidentally delete most of the symposium pictures instead. oops!! i did salvage a few images of our models though.

because of our hectic schedules over the past few weeks, we've decided to hold off on the may challenge. we'll invite the attendees of shortbread 2 to get involved with our next one...sometime in early june.

the next symposium is scheduled for the 17th of may in blountstown...help us spread the word!

we got this nice email from mr. hall last week and wanted to share...the pictures he's referring to are posted below.

"Like you didn't already know.....At the shortbread symposium, my favorite picture was one of a LP Gas live fire training. We talked about settings other than "automatic" that would work better in the low light. Last night I used what you taught me and the pics came out great!!! I know I've overloaded you with pictures over the last few weeks, but you should know, you make a difference in the way I make pictures. Thanks!!!"

We just realized that we didn't post the winner here before May 1st...and we just realized that Hilary made a typo in the previous post! March 1st wasn't the announcement date...May 1st was. And now it's May 2nd! The winner was notified before the 1st, though...does that count for being on top of things?

And the winner is......drum roll....... BEN! Congratulations Ben! He wins an 11x14 print, taken by him, enhanced by evy & grace photography...mounted on styrene and ready to frame. Way to go!

The next syposium is set for May 17th. Final details will be posted this weekend! Help us spread the word.

{april challenge: spring cleaning}

ok...so I started to totally fool you guys since today is the 1st...and wait until tommorrow to post the challenge. i won't do that. ;)

the theme is {spring cleaning}. show us your favorite cleaning supply, your junked up countertops, your sparkling clean bathtub...whatever you can think of. be creative...and remember all the things you learned during the workshop.
